National Business Daily reported that "Xinzhua", a Chengdu face-authorization platform, trades the portraits of influencers and ordinary people at listed prices, completing nearly 70 deals with a transaction value of 40,000 yuan in the two months since launch.

A bank employee listed their portrait on the "Xinzhua" platform and had it bought by advertising companies seven times within three days, earning 500 yuan per license and nearly 2,500 yuan after the platform's cut.
