On October 28, Su Chun-jung, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration under Taiwan's Executive Yuan, stated in the Legislative Yuan that due to declining birth rates and strong salary competitiveness in the private tech sector, a total of 10,872 civil servants resigned across Taiwan between 2022 and 2025, of whom 5,965 had served for less than 5 years.
