US Adds All 36 of Iran's Remaining Airlines and Related Entities to Sanctions List
The United States added 36 entities — Iran's remaining 27 airlines besides Mahan Air, plus related entities — to the sanctions list, including intermediary companies that transferred Boeing aircraft to Mahan Air via the UAE and Turkey. The U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) simultaneously issued an alert targeting Iran's civil aviation industry, aiming to cut off Iran's lifeline of funds and materials.
