Gao Gang Reports Northeast Industrial Base Data at the Northeast Bureau Representatives' Meeting
In March 1950, Gao Gang presented a set of data at the representatives' meeting of the Northeast Bureau, showing that the Northeast accounted for an extremely high proportion of the nation's coal, pig iron, steel, electricity and railways at the time, and was the country's most important industrial base.
