The U.S. Adds BGI Group, BGI Genomics, and MGI Tech to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List
On October 28, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced the addition of BGI Group, BGI Genomics, and MGI Tech to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List, accusing them of collaborating with the Xinjiang government to conduct genetic testing and provide equipment, with the relevant technology being used to monitor ethnic minorities and assist in the recruitment and transfer of forced labor.
