On August 7, 2024, Wang Jiajia, a judge of the Yancheng District People's Court in Luohe, Henan Province, was stabbed and killed in an underground garage of a residential compound by a person surnamed Dang, a party to a road traffic accident dispute case, in revenge.

Henan judge Wang Jiajia was hacked to death by an old man just 20 meters from her front door, becoming one of a series of recent violent attacks targeting officials and judicial personnel.
