On October 2, several volunteers gathered in the rain outside the consular service hall of the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne, holding umbrellas and placards and setting up posters to speak out for the stray dog "Wangwang" and her puppies, who were brutally killed, and demanding that China enact laws against animal abuse.
