The Plenary Session confirmed the expulsion of 24 Central Committee members and 8 alternate members from the Party, including former Minister of the International Department Liu Jianchao, former Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong, two former directors of the CMC General Office Zhong Shaojun and Fang Yongxiang, as well as senior executives of military-industrial enterprises such as Yu Jianfeng of CNNC and Yuan Jie of CASIC; Li Yunze was removed from his Party positions but retained his Party membership. The CCDI had not previously disclosed that these individuals were under investigation.
