General Ronald Clark, commander of the US Army Pacific, stated that the US side hopes to significantly expand its military capabilities in the Indo-Pacific region to deter China and prevent war, particularly regarding the Taiwan issue. Previously, the US had deployed the advanced "Typhon" missile system, which is capable of striking targets on China's coastal areas from relevant locations.
