The Ministry of State Security reported that a government agency's office terminals were not regularly scanned for viruses, and its work email was subjected to cyberattacks by overseas anti-China hostile forces. It also disclosed cases in which research institutes and companies had data stolen and their hosts compromised because their antivirus software stopped receiving updates, and urged all units to fulfill their cybersecurity protection responsibilities.
