On October 7, Taiwan's New Taipei District Prosecutors Office indicted 10 business operators, alleging that since 2017 they had used the names of the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology and others to purchase high-speed military-grade chips from Texas Instruments and Analog Devices, altered the outer packaging to launder the origin before illegally selling them to China and Hong Kong, and profited more than NT$300 million; prosecutors are seeking a maximum sentence of 10 years for the principal suspect.
