According to audit reports from 24 provinces disclosed by Southern Weekly, 587 construction projects failed to pay work injury insurance for their employees, accounting for 1/4 of the projects audited; 91 units fraudulently obtained 310,000 yuan from the work injury insurance fund and maternity support funds; 18 projects at 4 universities double-claimed 2.1196 million yuan in research funding, and 2 universities owed enterprises 70.2501 million yuan in project payments.
