Liaoning High People's Court Rejects Xia Junfeng's Appeal in Second Instance, Upholding Death Sentence

On May 9, 2011, the Liaoning Provincial High People's Court concluded the second-instance trial, upholding the first-instance judgment of the Shenyang Intermediate People's Court and sentencing Xia Junfeng to death; his defense lawyer argued that Xia Junfeng had acted in self-defense, which was not accepted.
