On August 18, 2026, an incident in which a car intercepted a police car occurred on a road in Danzhou, Hainan. A man, apparently upset that the police car had not yielded to let him change lanes, parked his vehicle sideways to block the road, got out and pulled at the police car's door and climbed onto its roof, before being restrained at the scene.
