Saudi-led coalition intercepts a drone attempting to enter Mecca airspace

The Saudi-led multi-national coalition reported on September 16 that it had intercepted a drone attempting to enter Mecca airspace. Coalition spokesman al-Maliki said the air defense system intercepted the aircraft on Tuesday night, calling the security of the two holy sites and the pilgrims a red line, a move that drew strong condemnation from Muslim countries and their leaders.
