An announcement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on November 6 shows that four major generals—Zhang Gong, Guo Jianjun, Wu Yuhong, and Meng Qingbin—have resigned from their positions as NPC deputies, and their qualifications have been terminated. Their resignations were accepted by the election committees of the Central Military Commission's National Defense Mobilization Department, the Navy, and the People's Armed Police, respectively. The authorities have not disclosed the reasons.
