On October 23, a parent at Jiangnan Experimental Primary School in Tunxi, Huangshan, Anhui held up a sign at the school gate seeking help, saying that while the child was in class on September 28, the child was repeatedly poked with a ballpoint pen by a deskmate, leaving more than 20 bruises on the limbs. The school only made the student involved reflect at home for three days; the parent demanded the student be transferred out of the class and asked the education bureau to intervene.
