U.S. Military Shoots Down Three Drones with High-Energy Laser at U.S.-Mexico Border

In the early hours of last Tuesday and Wednesday, the U.S. Army used a multi-purpose high-energy laser system near the U.S.-Mexico border to shoot down three drones, classifying them as hostile targets and saying drug trafficking networks are increasingly using drones to assist smuggling and reconnaissance.
