On October 4, Taiwanese host Kevin Tsai attended a campaign rally wearing a mask and a cap, took a seat in the front row and waved a cheering stick while interacting with the crowd. He was questioned over his political stance, and responded that he was there to "broaden his horizons" and to "interview and do research."
