Man on Subsistence Allowance in Qidong, Jiangsu Kills Female Grid Worker and Then Takes Poison

A grid worker's preliminary investigation in Jiulong Town, Qidong, found that a 55-year-old man in the village receiving subsistence allowances had 20,000 yuan in savings, after which his subsistence allowance was cancelled. After repeatedly arguing his case to no avail, the man rushed into the village committee and killed a 25-year-old female grid worker, then committed suicide by taking poison.
