Qatar Calls on the US and Iran to Return to the Memorandum of Understanding and Reach a Deal on the Strait Issue

As one of the mediators of the interim US-Iran agreement, Qatar called in August 2026 on both sides to return to the previously signed memorandum of understanding and seek an agreement on the strait issue, saying this would bring both parties back to the negotiating framework.
