Construction by a Stationed Military Unit in Kangding, Garze, Sichuan Accused of Digging Up and Burying Villagers' Ancestral Tombs, Sparking Conflict

On August 28, 2026, villagers of Maiba Village, Kangding City, Garze Prefecture, Sichuan Province reported that a newly stationed military camp, during wall construction, dug up and buried the villagers' ancestral tombs and dumped garbage, and that their representations to the relevant functional departments were met with buck-passing.
