On October 24, U.S. Secretary of War Hegseth released a video stating that he had eliminated DEI programs within the Department of War during his tenure. He also pointed out that the Confucius Institutes, funded by the Chinese government, are government propaganda projects that attempt to steal intellectual property and infiltrate the minds of American students; they have been classified as a national security threat and systematically dismantled.
