On November 6, the NPC Standing Committee voted to pass the Anti-Transnational Corruption Law, consisting of 6 chapters and 47 articles, which comes into effect today. Targeting corrupt individuals who transfer assets overseas, this law provides a legal basis for recovering fugitive assets and holding individuals accountable, while requiring cross-border operating enterprises to establish integrity and compliance management departments.
