Zhejiang Police Report Intervention and Dissuasion of a Minor Applying Alone for a Passport to Travel to a Sensitive Country

On September 3, 2026, Zhejiang police issued a report stating that a 16-year-old had applied alone in another locality for a passport with the intention of going abroad; border entry-exit officers contacted the parents to intervene on the grounds of fraud-related controls and dissuaded the issuance of the passport.
