On August 25, 2026, the asphalt road surface at an intersection in Baigou, Baoding, Hebei, suffered a large-scale rupture and collapse, forming a huge deep pit that occupied more than half of the intersection. Relevant departments arrived at the scene to set up barriers and carry out maintenance.
