On October 4, multiple villagers in Pengyuan Village, Chengtang Town, Yifeng County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, gathered at the gate and inside the offices of the Chengtang Town Villagers' Committee to protest and defend their rights, after public welfare forest and natural forest compensation payments went unpaid for more than 20 years following restrictions on commercial logging of collectively owned forest rights.
