On October 25, a rally was held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, in support of Wangwang, a stray dog in Jieyang, Guangdong, and her puppies. Participants held up signs in the rain, with slogans in Chinese, English, and Japanese calling on China to enact an anti-animal-cruelty law and severely punish animal abusers.
