Part of the Growth in China’s Individual Income Tax Revenue Comes from Back Taxes and Late Fees

In the first half of this year, China’s individual income tax revenue maintained relatively fast growth, but the tax authorities said that a considerable part of that growth came from back taxes and late payment surcharges, showing that strengthening tax collection and administration has become an important source of revenue for local governments.
