Something truly massive has happened this time! So, uh, there is just-in news from the U.S. side: they caught a 34-year-old Chinese national named Zhang Wanying in Irvine, who was just about to board a flight back to China. Now, what did she do? In 2025, she was sent to track and photograph President Lai Ching-te's son, taking photos, videos, and even recording license plates, and then sent everything back to CCP officials. Furthermore, it was discovered that she and another colleague covered for each other and concealed their whereabouts throughout the operation, which is how they evaded detection. Moreover, she never notified the U.S. Department of Justice that she was working for the CCP government. This behavior already constitutes a federal crime. Although she hasn't been convicted yet, as she still needs to go to court, the essence of the matter is that they have actually investigated it pretty thoroughly.
[Video Clip] She's a naturalized citizen who is a Chinese, a Chinese national, and she is accused. She's been charged with acting as an agent of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She was conducting surveillance on behalf of the Chinese government. She was acting as a foreign agent, and she was spying on a relative of the president of Taiwan here in the U.S. And so she's conducting Chinese, essentially espionage here on our soil, and you cannot do that without our knowledge and consent, obviously. And so she is in violation of federal law. She was arrested as she was trying to board a flight to Shanghai.
[Video Clip] How did she get here?
[Video Clip] She's a naturalized citizen.
[Video Clip] Okay.
[Video Clip] And so, and this is what China does. China is very good at using people who are already here, and they do it to elected officials. Yeah, exactly. So they know how they know how to game our system. And so, you, know, what that was a big blow to us when the birthright case came down. Because the other thing they're doing now, you know, this might be breaking news as well. It's not just birthright tourism. They're sending sperm and eggs, and they're implanting them in surrogates here in.
I just want to tell my friends that it is truly terrifying. I feel like the U.S. doesn't seem to know how many people the CCP has lurking here every day. They don't appear to be working for the government, but in reality, they are CCP agents, collecting information on various people they are interested in—information on people in the U.S. I even think that, uh, if they could find me, they would probably try to find out where I am. So, thinking about it now, my mom tells me to be careful every time I go out, especially to be cautious when I see other Chinese people. Even within the same city, she tries to get me to move. And even if the commute to school is longer, she doesn't want us staying in the same place for too long. Sigh, it actually makes a lot of sense, because as everyone knows, if you stay in one place for a long time, the people around you might slowly get to know you, and you might end up exposing your information, right? I feel that as long as you are at odds with the CCP, as long as your ideology doesn't align with theirs—even if you haven't done anything to them, just because your ideas don't match—they will monitor you like this all over the world. This feeling is really quite scary. I don't know what the reason for the existence of such a regime is. Uh, I really, really, every time I finish watching, I think, how can there still be this, the whole process of how various foods can have those poisons added to them, I really can't imagine it, I've racked my brain and I can't imagine it, it's so scary! I really see this, as soon as I think about it, I lose my appetite. I.
[Video Clip] The beginning of 2026 is truly terrible; I'm so anxious every day I can't breathe. Everything in this society is fake—buying houses, buying cars, the rat race for kids—it's all to hollow you out, to trap you, to make you a mindless beast of burden, a mindless machine, working and working until you're old, working until you die. You say that stuff is really important? Do we really need big houses? Do we really need those super luxurious cars? Do you really need them for yourself, or do you want others to see? Are you really using them for yourself, or to satisfy your own vanity? Actually, the most useful things we have are a mobile phone and an electric scooter; for everything else, you can really just rent a house or call a car, really. You find that in the end, we only need a healthy body and a free soul. It's actually that simple: to be well-fed and clothed, and to have a little extra money in your pocket—that is being a winner in life.
[Video Clip] It's not that we aren't working hard; in this situation, uh, no matter how much effort you put in, it's useless, it's really like that. Don't laugh, the situation is getting more and more tense, ah, there's no one outside, inside though. People of the world.
[Video Clip] Everyone is dragging their suitcases home, going out, ah, full, it's all.
[Video Clip] I have a premonition that something big will happen this year, or by next year at the latest. Many people should have this feeling; this feeling is becoming more and more intense now. It could be financial, or it could be something else. Our generation has truly witnessed too much history; perhaps we are about to witness history again.
[Video Clip] Do you have this feeling? This year, whether doing business or working, it's been particularly difficult; it seems the entire national economy is declining. Does everyone know why this is? Especially these brick-and-mortar stores, closing one after another. Even the bath centers that used to be quite busy are now empty and desolate, no longer showing their former prosperity.
[Video Clip] The biggest joke this year is that the peak season is even slower than the off-season. Look, there's not a single person. Look, look, there's simply no one.
[Video Clip] I can't believe it! A client of mine who does grain and oil business said that this year's business is worse than imaginable. Data shows that the sales of rice, flour, grain, and oil are all declining. I really can't figure it out; consumption downgrading is one thing, I could understand if you didn't eat vegetables or meat, maybe eat a bit more indulgently, but you can't stop buying basic necessities like firewood, rice, oil, and salt, right? Where do you all think the reason lies?
[Video Clip] Now we are facing widespread unemployment and large-scale bankruptcies. In the industrial park where I work, many places are already empty. Last year, many bosses were still struggling to hold on; this year, they really can't hold on anymore. So, sisters, you really need to tighten your belts and reduce unnecessary expenses.
[Video Clip] A monthly salary of 1,800 yuan, my god! It's already 2026, are there still people whose monthly salary is only 1,800 yuan? Now it's not just middle-aged people.
[Video clip] Can't find a job. My nephew is 25 years old, a returnee from studying abroad, and still can't find a job. He asked my aunt if there are any good jobs in Beijing, and asked me to help him look. I said your aunt is struggling to get by herself now; if it really doesn't work out, why don't you come to Beijing too and we can look together. My nephew studied fine arts, and to be fair, his art grades are pretty good, he really has some skills. Just when he came back from South Korea, he found a job as a teaching assistant in an art studio in Shenyang, paying 3,000 RMB a month. We figured it was pretty good to just start working, right? Consider it gaining experience. Less than two months later, the studio disbanded on the spot because they couldn't recruit students. The kid vented to me, asking why most job applications get no response at all, and otherwise they complain about his lack of experience. You see, today's society is quite interesting, huh? They find middle-aged people too old, yet they complain that young people with certificates lack experience. What kind of person are you actually trying to hire? The kid spent so much time studying and spent so much money, only to still not find a job upon returning. Now it's not just middle-aged people who are struggling; young people also feel like they can't catch their breath! Has the whole country entered a state of unemployment and job hunting? It's really baffling! Today I don't even know what to do, no interviews, no appointments. Sigh, coming out for a walk makes me feel a bit better.
[Video clip] People looking for odd jobs, look at this, it's already 6:04 in the morning, and there are still so many people here. There's no work lately.
[Video clip] Ah! You don't have any.
[Video clip] This is the most realistic situation. How many people are there? Just look.
[Video clip] Look at the current economic environment, what kind of situation has it driven people into? I heard that security guard salaries in Beijing have dropped yet again, and again, and again, and again. Everywhere on the streets it's 3,500 RMB, and there are even a few rare cases where it has dropped to around 3,000 RMB. Can you believe it? And this is with mediocre living and housing conditions. Moreover, you can clearly feel that this year the people on the streets, roads, and in shopping malls have noticeably decreased, and even the people in restaurants have decreased.
Can't figure it out? Then let me remind you once more: as long as everyone works, during this working process you definitely, uh, create social value. This social value can be exchanged for this thing. Since you say Chinese people are practically worked to death, yet everyone still has next to no money in their pockets, then think about this: according to the conservation of matter, your value has already been created, but, uh, the thing it converted into hasn't gone into your pocket. Uh, value doesn't just disappear into thin air, so where did it go? Alright, the above is all the content for this episode. If you want to support my channel, please join the membership channel.
