There are jazz performances, juggling acts, and a cheerful hula-hoop dancer. Visitors of all ages from across the United States have come to the U.S. capital to attend the Great American State Fair and jointly celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States on July 4.

I love my country very much, I love this nation, and the 250th anniversary happens only once in a lifetime, so I made a special trip to attend the opening day of the fair. And today happens to be my birthday as well, so it feels like a double celebration for me today.

The National Mall features dozens of pavilions and interactive experience projects, comprehensively showcasing all aspects of American history and culture.

In this freedom truck, visitors can experience what George Washington, the first president of the United States, might have sounded like when he spoke back then. Right outside the pavilion, visitors can also learn about some of America's groundbreaking early engineering and technological achievements.

In the innovation pavilion, visitors can explore some of America's greatest innovations. This is our first time visiting here, and so far it feels amazing and very interesting. There is SpaceX, and many companies like it, and we also saw the motorcycle-related exhibition area, so it's really good. I think we should hold more events like this to celebrate America, our history, and the direction of our future development. I think this event is fantastic, and I believe it shows our pride in our country.

In addition to the industrial exhibition area, booths from multiple federal agencies were set up on-site to help visitors understand their related programs and services. I really like it here, it's very interesting, and it's not trying to sell anything.

The fair also features exhibition areas for all U.S. states and territories, with each area displaying symbolic items to reflect their unique characteristics. Every state has done an outstanding job, showcasing a lot of content about their own states, including the different products they produce and the features that make each state unique, which together create the uniqueness of the United States.

An old-fashioned carousel and a giant Ferris wheel attracted children of all ages. For art lovers, artist Scott Lobaedo was on-site creating a real-time painting. I am painting what I consider to be the greatest work of art in human history, which is the Stars and Stripes, the American flag. It is the most recognizable, the most beautiful, at times somewhat sexy, yet the most powerful and impactful work of art in the world.

In the exhibition area paying tribute to American workers, an ironworker wanted to remind the whole country that it is people like him who built America together. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers' terrible towel that everyone recognizes, but it is also a symbol of the American steel industry.

The Great American State Fair was organized by America250, one of the many organizations nationwide planning various activities to commemorate this historic milestone. Reporting from Washington for Voice of America.
