During my second imprisonment, while losing my freedom, I also lost many beautiful childhood memories brought to me by my grandmother, and I could never see my grandfather and grandmother again. And because I was in a political prison, my wife and children were separated, I was dismissed from my unit, and I was driven out of my motherland, remaining a tragic lonely soul to this day. I know my father had liver cancer and had at most two months to live, but when I went to the Chinese consulate for a visa, I was denied. My father called my name in his final moments and passed away in deep sorrow, unable to close his eyes peacefully even in death. Recently, my mother suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. In theory, I can perform acupuncture to treat pain and illness, and I could fully fulfill my filial piety. I estimate that my elderly 90-year-old mother will also not be in this world for much longer, and I estimate that I will once again endure an unbearable blow. Currently, I have been diagnosed by doctors with severe depression. I know I cannot act like a dog, to cross these inhuman cruelties. According to Tang Yuanjun's logic, should I also betray the values I have spent my whole life pursuing? Would that not be pigs and dogs, and a waste of over sixty years of life? In the pro-democracy circle, who is not separated from their wife and children, or whose family has not been destroyed? This kind of sophistry, and those who who wash and bleach it for him, what kind of people are they? Chinese democrats, in order to practice their noble ideals, have sacrificed a lot in prison. Tang Yuanjun was sentenced to twenty years and served eight years in prison; there is a problem here that warrants reflection. Anyone who has been in a CCP political prison knows that, let alone getting a significant sentence reduction, it is impossible to be released even one day early; not even having their sentence increased is already a great blessing among misfortunes. As for the claim that the CCP required Tang Yuanjun to abandon reason and truth, and that taking a radical line would be more deceptive, that is pure nonsense. Such stability maintenance, washing, and bleaching of ingratitude, and being a criminal who betrays the United States, is behavior worse than a dog. Even a pet dog knows how to repay kindness.
