December 26: Kaifeng, Henan. After an apparent quarrel between a man and a woman in a car, the man beat the woman in public. He then drove into her and attempted to indiscriminately hit pedestrians at an intersection.
February 9: Ju County, Shandong. A man entered a village during the Chinese New Year and randomly killed several people. He later hid in a house and lured arriving medical personnel to their deaths.
February 14: Minfeng Village, Dongkou County, Shaoyang, Hunan. A local resident reported a murder case. A son-in-law, during a visit to his in-laws, attacked and injured four people, killing his father-in-law.
February 24: Hangzhou Elevated Highway. A man in a Bentley forced a BMW to stop, pulled out the driver, and stabbed him multiple times in the thigh and torso. After the victim fell to the ground, the assailant took his mobile phone and dashcam and then drove off. The video was quickly censored in China but circulated widely among angry netizens.
