First-year high school students at Anlu No. 1 High School in Hubei Province staged a collective strike to protest the school's decision to cut their original 20-day summer vacation down to just 5 days. Chanting slogans such as "Against centralization, advocate equality" and "Return our 20-day summer vacation," they ultimately forced the school administration to compromise and restore the long break.
