We have a very good trading relationship, and you're know they're a competitor and all of that. China took advantage of us for years. We've done very well with China. In AI competition, President Trump said on September 4 that the U.S. is leading China in AI, and whoever wins AI wins. And it's really right now, it's really between China. In AI competition and setting up guardrails, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on September 14 that he hopes to ensure fair and regulated oversight, but also to ensure that the U.S. remains at the forefront. You know, it's something that we're concerned about, but we want to make sure that we actually regulate smartly and we're thoughtful about the risk here. The other thing the president has said pretty consistently is that we know that the Chinese are engaged in this long-term AI race against the United States. We want to make sure that the United States we do things smartly, but we stay ahead of the curve.

From trade, Iran's situation to artificial intelligence, these three elements form the three major strategic points of contention at this U.S.-China summit. Whether the two sides can reach a consensus on these issues will be the focus of attention from the outside world. 美國之音記者王於賀，華盛頓報道。
