中國法律規定，對精神病的鑑定要由省政府指定的醫療機構進行，可在實踐中，有些非醫學專業的單位，如公安局和領導個人就可以決定一個人是否有精神病，然後將一個好端端的自然人強制送到精神病院變相關押，強制讓別人接受給其身心帶來異常痛苦的精神病治療。
董瓊瑤因為給習宣傳畫潑墨被關進精神病院，聲援復旦大學老師關於南京大屠殺言論的李田田老師，雖然身懷六甲已達六月，仍然被送進精神病院接受強制打針吃藥；李宜雪因為投訴輔警猥褻就被強制送到精神病院關押。
原來各大中小城市的銜頭乞討者轉眼消失得無影無蹤，也是被送到精神病院的多。一個正常社會，各種階層的人都存在，肢體有正常與不正常者，殘疾人在街頭要點飯吃在紐約這樣高度發達的大都市也正常存在。可是，在中國，連小縣城都沒有了。乞丐們行乞的權利都被中共非法剝奪，因為中共認為乞丐存在有損其面子，必須讓他們消失。這是一個堪比恐怖組織還邪惡的政黨，只有普通人想象不到的，沒有中共做不到的。

They can forcibly send a perfectly healthy individual to a psychiatric hospital, where they are detained and subjected to psychiatric treatment that causes significant physical and mental suffering.
Dong Qiongyao was confined to a psychiatric hospital after splashing ink on a propaganda portrait of Xi Jinping. Teacher Li Tiantian, who supported a Fudan University professor's remarks about the Nanjing Massacre, was forcibly institutionalized despite being six months pregnant and was forced to take injections and medication. Li Yixue was also forcibly committed to a psychiatric hospital after filing a complaint about being harassed by an auxiliary police officer.
The sudden disappearance of beggars from cities of all sizes can also be attributed to their confinement in psychiatric hospitals. In a normal society, people from all walks of life coexist, including those with physical disabilities. For instance, it is common to see disabled individuals begging for food on the streets of highly developed metropolises like New York. However, in China, even small towns no longer have such scenes. The rights of beggars to survive through begging have been illegally stripped by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), as the CCP considers their presence a blemish on its image and demands their disappearance. This is a political party that can be described as more evil than a terrorist organization. There is nothing too unimaginable for ordinary people that the CCP cannot or will not do.
